For those of you who are unfamiliar with Jewish tradition, the Hanukkah story is not really about candle oil. It's about hope. It's about resistance. It's about not giving up in the face of bigotry no matter how dismal or stacked the circumstances may appear. It's about the small, Jewish, Maccabee revolt standing up to multiple, powerful Greek armies as if to say you cannot destroy us simply because we are different from you. Maintaining hope in the face of hate is the miracle that feeds change. And that, my beloved inkers, is my Hanukkah wish for you.
